FOULS

As in Billiards, certain unauthorized or inappropriate moves or actions are described as “fouls”, and carry a prescribed penalty to be assessed against the player who commits such an infraction. In addition to “fouls” as described in the basis rules of Billiards, the following moves or actions are not allowed in the play of and carry the prescribed penalty:

  1. To “strike” the “cue” disc with the cue stick is a foul. Any movement of the “cue” disc must begin with the cue stick in contact with and at rest against the “cue” disc before any displacement of the “cue” disc is caused to occur as the shot begins. The player committing the foul forfeits his turn.
  2. As in Billiards, the displacement of the “cue” disc by a player across any distance on the court constitutes a “shot”. Any “second” contact of the cue stick with the “cue” disc is a foul, and the player forfeits his turn.
  3. On the “break” shot, the cue stick must disengage from the cue disc before the cue disc crosses the centerline of the court. Not to do so is a foul and the player committing the foul forfeits his turn.
  4. If a player steps on, touches or otherwise displaces a disc at rest, or impedes the free movement of a disc in motion, such interference is a foul, and the player forfeits his next turn to play.
